Private Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Traditionally, yoga has only been taught in a 1-on-1 setting, focusing on the practitioners unique physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual constitution. In this private setting, we will do exactly that, by focusing uniquely on you and your constitution, by practicing slow flow yoga, restorative poses, as well as yoga nidra, designed uniquely to you and your needs and wants.
Restorative yoga seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. While some restorative yoga poses are beneficial to the entire body, others target specific parts of the body.
Yoga nidra is also referred to as “yogic sleep” or “psychic sleep” and is a technique of deep relaxation, considered by some as a form of meditation. In yoga nidra, your mind and body are in a state between sleep and waking. While being in a pose of complete relaxation, the practitioner turns the awareness inward while being guided through a set of instructions. The combination of restorative yoga practice and yoga nidra result in deep relaxation and expands individual’s self-awareness. .
